Hi, I'm Hillel. I love harmony: the moment a few voices lock together and the chord rings. But singing harmony on your own is hard. It's hard to know which notes are yours, and harder still to hold them while the tune pulls you away.
So I built Stackapella. Each part has a guide voice to learn from, and your notes light up as you hit them. When you're ready, you record your part, then sing the next one over it. Every part lines up exactly in time, so you can stack your own voices into a whole harmony, or share it with friends and your choir.
A few things matter to me. What you sing stays private unless you choose to share it. Feedback is kind: what went well first, then one thing to try. There's no third-party analytics and nothing tracks you: the app only counts, anonymously, how much it's used each day. And it's voices first, with instruments welcome.
The songs are in the public domain, arranged for learning, and some parts are sung by real singers, each credited by name. What you record with them is yours.
If something's confusing, or you'd love it to do something it doesn't, write to me at [email protected]. I read every message.
