Amazing Grace · first line4 voices · 0:00 / 0:18

Synthesized guide voices, singing on "oo". In the app, real singers sing some of the parts.

Amazing Grace's first line, "Amazing grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me.", in four parts: the soprano sings the tune, with the alto, tenor and bass under it. Your part is the Soprano. Press a voice to take it out of the harmony or bring it back.

Built in the open

Stackapella is open source. Here's what that means for you, and for anyone curious how it works.

  • The server and the web app are open source, under the Attribution Assurance License.
  • Every part is scheduled on the browser's audio clock, so your takes line up exactly in time.
  • Your pitch is heard on your device, and nothing tracks you: no third-party analytics, only anonymous daily counts. Check the code.
  • No npm and no build step: a Laravel API and a Vue app served as plain files.
  • Run it on your own server, with every Plus feature, free.
