Refund policy

Version 1 · A draft our lawyer is still checking

This policy covers Stackapella Plus. Coaching has its own refund rules, in the marketplace terms.

Cancelling

You can cancel Plus at any time, online: Settings, then Plan and storage, then Manage your plan. Plus stays on until the end of the period you've paid for, and nothing more is charged. Nothing you've made is deleted (see the terms, "The free plan, and moving back to it").

The free trial

The trial lasts 7 days, once per account and once per card. Checkout shows the date the trial turns into a charge, and we email you before it does. Cancel before that date and you pay nothing.

Refunds

  • A yearly plan: if you ask within 14 days of being charged, we refund it in full.
  • Mistakes are always refunded: if you were charged twice, or charged after you cancelled, we refund it in full.

To ask, use Contact us in the app or write to [email protected] from the address on your account. We answer payment questions within 1 working day. A refund goes back to the card you paid with, and usually reaches it in 5 to 10 days, depending on your bank.

In the European Union and the United Kingdom

You have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days, without giving a reason. Because Plus starts at once, Checkout asks you to agree to it starting straight away. If you then withdraw within 14 days, we refund you in full. To withdraw, tell us by Contact us or at [email protected]. This right comes first: nothing in this policy takes it away.

Plus bought in an app

If you bought Plus in the App Store or Google Play, the store takes the payment, so you cancel it there (on an iPhone: Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions; on Android: Google Play, then Payments and subscriptions). Apple decides App Store refunds: ask at reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google Play, ask us, and we refund it through Google Play under the rules above, or ask Google. If the store refunds a payment, the Plus it paid for ends.

Card disputes

If something's wrong with a payment, please tell us first: it's quicker for you. If you dispute a charge with your bank instead, Plus ends, and we follow Stripe's dispute process.
