Your privacy

On your device

• Your singing stays on your device until you save it to your account or share it. Without an account, everything stays on your device.
• The pitch feedback (your notes lighting up, and the report on your take) is worked out on your device.
• No third-party analytics, no advertising, no tracking.

What goes to us, and when

• When you're signed in, your songs and takes are saved to your account, so they're kept safe and open on your other devices.
• When you share a harmony, its mix comes to us to make the link, and the video if you make one.
• When you send a take to a coach or teacher, they get the take and its scores. A beta singer's take goes to Hillel to review.

Private by default

• Your songs are private. Friends you invite to sing on one hear its parts.
• A shared harmony can be heard only by people with its link. It isn't listed anywhere, and it isn't offered to search engines.
• A choir group's director sees your name and whether each part you're given is not started, started or recorded. Never your recordings.

Your voice as a guide

• If you let us feature a harmony you shared (the box "Stackapella may feature it on our X and Bluesky"), its parts may become guide voices that other singers learn from, credited to you.
• Everyone who sang on it agrees first, and only people 18 and over can say yes.
• To stop it, untick the box right after you share, or later open Share, tap "Use that link", and untick it or tap "Stop sharing". Its parts stop being guides. Deleting your account does the same.
• A harmony you share by link without ticking the box is never used.

Download your data

• Settings, then "Prepare my data" under Download my data. We email you when it's ready: everything you keep with us, with links to every take, in one file.
• The download is there for 7 days.

Delete your account

• Settings, then "Delete my account". Type delete to confirm. This can't be undone.
• Your account and the recordings kept with it are deleted, your shared harmonies are taken down, and Plus is cancelled.
• Songs on this device stay here. To clear them too, Settings, then "Delete everything here" under This device.
• For your safety, we may ask you to sign in again first.
